If you’re going to be importing or exporting beyond the EU, you’ll need to apply for an EORI number before scheduling any deliveries. We’ll help deal with the paperwork when sending abroad, but your company will need to be properly registered in order to avoid delays. We also recommend that you follow our pallet preparation guidelines to ensure no damage occurs during transit, and that no additional fees are incurred.
If the UK leaves the EU without a trade agreement on the 29th of March 2019, an EORI will also be required to send goods to EU countries.

If your business is shipping goods to or from a outside the EU, you will need an EORI number to enable it to enter the. If the UK doesn’t agree a trade deal with the EU before the 29th of March 2019, an EORI will also be required to send or receive goods from the EU.
When sending goods outside of the EU, you’ll need to ensure it’s accompanied by all the correct paperwork. This varies according to what you’re sending and where it’s going, but you should always follow these basic steps:
Ensure you hold the appropriate licences
Use the National Export System (NES) to complete a customs declaration
Arrange for payment of all import taxes, duties and VAT in the receiving
